Love in the Air

The cold breeze by the window,Flowing through my body,Warming me as my temperature rises.

Is it the air that grows thin,Or my breath faltering,Grasping for the next?

As I hear the call of the birds,The hymn of the insects, the rustling leaves -Am I hearing it all in your name?

A peacock shall I become,As you turn into the rain,Drenching all that is me.

And when you come,Won't I spread my feathersAnd dance in celebration?

Are these reflections only of you,Or a mirror of my own?For there is no Me without You!
